Arrow Season 3 Spoilers: Series Introduces New Characters; Vows More Action For Oliver And His Love Life?

"Arrow" season 3 spoilers reveal the introduction of new characters to the series as CW vows more action for Oliver and his love life while he battles the bad guys in Starling City.

The success of season 2 gave birth to Oliver as a hero in "Arrow" season 3. The new season's synopsis said, "In the aftermath of this victory, Season 3 opens with Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date."

"Arrow" season 3 spoilers, as shown in the trailer, further reveals how the suave millionaire-turned-vigilante tries to convince Felicity to go out on a date with him-right in the middle of chasing the villain.

"Do you like Italian?" Oliver as Arrow asks Felicity.

"Oliver, you're in the middle of a high-speed chase," she reprimands.

"I'm multitasking," he replies.

Although Oliver and Felicity would appear to be on a date in the next few clips, the superhero vigilante would also appear to be doing a lot of crime-busting in the succeeding clips-even setting aside his trusty bow and arrow for a gun.

However, even if a blossoming love comes between Oliver and Felicity, "Arrow" season 3 spoilers dished by Greg Berlanti, the show's executive producer, stressed that fans could expect more than a love story.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Berlanti said, "None of us like to throw stuff out there and then not deal with it in some way. It doesn't mean it occupies the story and that's all we deal with, but you want to be fair to the audience."

However, Oliver's love life remains stuck in a rut when a very deadly enemy returns to Starling, making Oliver realize that he can never live his life as long as his city needs him as Arrow.
