Canon 7D Mark 2 Specs: Most Speculated Camera Finally Arrives, New DSLR Shoots 10 Frames Per Second

The announcement everybody has been waiting for - The Canon 7D Mark 2. BJP reports that the new DSLR was revealed at Photokina in Cologne, Germany.

Masaya Maeda, Canon's chief executive of Image Communication Products Operation, revealed the new model to the public, saying "We help to shape the evolving landscape, and today we move forward again with the EOS 7D Mark II."

"A huge upgrade" with the 20-Megapixel sensor has be revealed by Alessandro Stanzani, head of Consumer Imaging Group for Canon Europe. Stanzani also added that the new model, which has the 1D-X technology, would shoot at a staggering 10 frames per second, "a speed no other APS-C sensor can currently match".

The Canon 7D Mark 2 and its specs target action/sports photographers, improvements in video which include uncompressed HDMI output and Dual Pixel CMOS AF feature will appeal to filmmakers alike.
