'Arrow' Season 3 Spoilers:Felicity And Oliver Goes On Their First Date, The Atom Takes Over Queen Consolidated!

'Arrow' Season 3 is reportedly to be a 'movie -like' season. The upcoming season also introduces new characters as well.

We'll be seeing new faces in the upcoming season like Superman Returns star Brandon Routh who'll play as Ray Palmer and will be Felicity Smoak's love interest later on.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim shared some information to TVLine about Ray Palmer's character in Queens Consolidated and in Starling City. "Ray is a businessman instead of a professor, more of an entrepreneur," he said. As for the Atom part of his personality, "Part of the fun is seeing how, or even if , a character reaches the end of that trajectory," Guggenheim teased, "because as we've proven, we like to play around with it a bit."

Ra's al Ghul will be the main villain in the much awaited season 3. It was reported that Liam Neeson wants to reprise hir role, but Arrow executives found a replacement and Ra's al Ghul will be played by Australian actor Matt Nable.

Last Thursday, The CW released a synopsis on what to expect on the upcoming.

"With crime in Starling City at an all- time low thanks to the Arrow (Stephen Amell) and his team, Oliver thinks he can finally balance being both the Arrow and Oliver Queen and asks Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) out on a date. However, when a new villain (guest star Peter Stormare) emerges, who has claimed the name Vertigo from the recently deceased Count, Oliver is caught off-guard and someone close to him is hurt. Oliver and a newly suited up Roy (Colton Haynes) take on the Count. Meanwhile, Diggle (David Ramsey) becomes a father, Lance (Paul Blackthorne) is promoted to Captain, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) joins Arrow's inner circle and Felicity gets a part-time job at a tech store to make ends meet. Also, Oliver fights to regain his company, Queen Consolidated, but comes up against a very worthy opponent - the charming Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh)."
