Foo Fighters Tour: The Band Fires Back On Twitter, Publicists For Both Acts Say 'All Is Well In The Rock And Roll World'

Update:

Yesterday we reported Jack White taking stabs at the Foo Fighters and rock publication Rolling Stone, at his concert in Fenway Park, Boston.

The Foo Fighters on their Twitter account responded to the situation:

Nasty Little Man Public Relations, who handles both parties have released a statement clearing up Jack White's "rant" (via nextimepulsesports.com):

"Dear dream-makers of the media....

Last night Jack White made a joke on stage!

There was a minor equipment mishap, specifically with his guitar, and in an effort to keep his audience engaged, he made a joke! It was meant to be funny and self deprecating: "hey sorry, you're stuck with just me up here..." vs the Foo Fighters who have three guitar players on stage and regularly play stadium shows.

Jack has the upmost respect for the Foo Fighters and communicated with Grohl this morning.

So if you'll let us, we'll all continue with our day and we assure you: All is well in the rock n roll world."

Yesterday, 'Lazaretto' singer Jack White took stabs at Dave Grohl and the rest of the band while performing a show in Fenway Park, Boston. White started his 'rant' saying "most performers don't use microphones anymore, you know,". He continued by saying that the Foo Fighters' reason for having two guitarists "playing the same parts" is that one can cover the other's mistake. He even called out Rolling Stone's for their latest cover with Taylor Swift, mocking them by saying they publish articles like "15 outfits that will blow your mind that Taylor Swift wore this month".

He wrapped up his speech with: "OK, I'm officially supposed to stop now, because this is becoming a Kanye West-esque rant. Because apparently, nowadays, you aren't allowed to speak to your own fans about anything, lest it be a rant."

So forget ISIS, forget the war in the Middle East, forget any problems at home, forget gay marriage, forget everything you ever thought about everything. This not a rant, this is just me saying, "Hello Cleveland!"

Foo Fighters hasn't made any comments yet on the subject. The band is currently promoting their 8th studio LP, coincidentally recorded in 8 different studios, in 8 different cities across the States will be accompanied by Sonic Highways, the documentary set to broadcast on HBO, which will document the process of the making the album.

Guests to appear on the new record include Public Enemy's Chuck D, Fugazi's Ian MacKaye, the Eagles' Joe Walsh, Heart's Nancy Wilson, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen, Butthole Surfers' Gibby Haynes and Kiss frontman Paul Stanley.

The band is currently on tour, recently playing a string of dates across the UK. Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters have also agreed in playing crowdfunded gigs, saying that "It's a fun thing" and it "could become the way that bands decide where they want to play,".
