Virtual Reality Headset Unveiled by Oculus

Oculus has shown the world its latest VR headset. This is the latest development when it comes to virtual reality technology though it is not available to consumers just yet.

The new device is named Crescent Bay and it is targeted towards those who want to create a VR experience for people. It boasts of a higher resolution and a higher refresh rate which would give a better virtual reality experience than any other headset that came before it. It also has an integrated headset and 360 degree head tracking. 

Brendan Iribe, who is the CEO of Oculus says that their product isn't perfect yet but claims that it is so much better than any comparable device in the market today. The new headset covers the eyes of the user and creates immersive worlds that the user can really be immersive. One of the best features of the headset is the way that it can create displays based on the movement of the user's head. 

The prototype of the Oculus Rift headset came out in 2012 and that has generated a great deal of interest, especially from those involved in filmmaking and in developing video games. The company also came up with another prototype this year which has been shipped over to developers in different parts of the world.

Oculus was recently bought by Facebook for $2 billion. In the past few months, the number of employees in the company have multiplied. They also teamed up with Samsung recently to develop a headset that could sell with the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone.

In the past few years, the devices made by Oculus has been demonstrated  in events in order to gain more attention and following for the company and its products. Some consumers are still not comfortable when it comes to using VR technology.
