"The Last Ship" lead cast Eric Dane showed his softer side while taking his two daughters around Los Angeles earlier this week.

The 41-year-old is one of the action drama's lead actors, but a report from Daily Mail revealed sensitive moments shared between the father-of-two and his daughters.

One photo showed "The Last Ship" cast Eric Dane carrying his two-year-old baby Georgia while he ran errands last Monday. The angelic-looking toddler rested her head against the shoulder of her celebrity dad.

The serious actor was even carrying her daughter's pink backpack, not caring if the girly accessory looked silly on him.

"The Last Ship" cast member Eric Dane wore dark jeans, a black shirt, a red baseball cap, and heavily tinted shades. His daughter Georgia had on an adorable ensemble: a pink skirt, blue top, coral ballet slippers, and a flower clip.

The actor was also seen last Sunday with his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, eldest daughter Billie, and little Georgia.

The family was reportedly on their way to a children's birthday, said Daily Mail.

According to Daily Mail, Eric Dane's role in "The Last Ship" is that of a commander of a naval destroyer, who becomes more concerned after an epidemic kills off most of the world's inhabitants.

In related news, the action-drama was recently announced to have been renewed for a second season.

In a statement, TNT said: "'The Last Ship' is a blockbuster hit in its first season, not only among total viewers but also among key adult demos."

"'The Last Ship' packed an average of more than 7.2 million viewers live, and currentlu ranks as basic cable's #1 scripted series this summer with adults 18-49 and adults 25-54," confirmed TNT.

The hit series is produced by blockbuster director Michael Bay, and is based on a novel with the same title, written by William Brinkley.

Eric Dane also appeared in Grey's Anatomy for eight seasons. "I miss those guys,"  Eric Dane told TVLINE. "I spent a lot of time working with them, and I miss them. That was a fun time in my life, working on that show."
