Reported previously,

Jeff Sneider of The Wrap overheard some news about Aquaman's involvement in the upcoming "Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice" movie. Sneider, discusses the event in an in-depth podcast with Meet The Movie Press:

Superman: Dawn of Justice which was originally slotted to open on May 6, 2016 opposite of Marvel's Captain America 3 will now launch to a March 25,2016 release date, avoiding a potential blockbuster confrontation. This is also the second time the release of the film has been changed.

Simultaneously, Warner and DC Entertainment in announced in a statement the launch of releases planting the flag on several dates beginning with "Superman: Dawn Of Justice" along with 9 as-yet untitled superhero films through 2020.

While no official titles have been revealed yet, the company already has discussed a sequel for "Man of Steel", a Wonder Woman movie, played by Gal Gadot, who joins Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck in Dawn Of Justice. Another project mentioned is a Justice League film including key heroes Aquaman.

Rumored playing Aquaman is Jason Momoa, who's name has been in the past months thrown around in the DC Film circle.

Entertainment Weekly tried to get "Khal Drogo" to confirm his role as the trident-wielding superhero:

"Well, I'm really excited for it [Batman vs. Superman] to come out in 2016, I'll tell you that much," said the 35 year-old actor. "I'm really excited to see what is happening in that world."

Neither confirming nor denying anything, it has led fans to speculate that he can also be cast in the upcoming DC film Shazam, starring opposite of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's Black Adam.

"The Rock" recently confirmed his role, posting this message on his Twitter:

"Kneel at his feet or get crushed by his boot." My honor to become.. #BlackAdam #TheAntiHero #DCComics

Black Adam, a dark wizard the nemesis of hero Shazam, in recent comic books has been on a path to change to become more of an anti-hero rather than a villain. Adam also gets his powers from the same source as Shazam, and is also a ruler of a small Middle Eastern nation called Khandaq, which will appear in the coming issues of Arrow comic book.
