Manny Pacquiao Next Fight News: Floyd Mayweather Jr. Will Easily Defeat ‘Pacman’ In Super Fight, Says Paulie Malignaggi

Pauli Malignaggi said in a Manny Pacquiao next fight interview that Floyd Mayweather Jr. will easily defeat the Filipino boxing icon if the proposed mega fight between the two boxing superstars will push through.

In an interview with On The Ropes Boxing Radio, Malignaggi said that Pacquiao is not the same fighter as he was before when he was still considered as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world.

"I think there's a lot of differences," Malignaggi said when asked to compare Pacquiao in 2014 and 2010. "I think we can all speculate with what the big differences were. At this point there's a lot less explosiveness in Pacquiao, we'll say that."

Malignaggi said that Pacquiao looked slow during his rematch against Timothy Bradley where 'Pacman' ran away with a unanimous decision win to reclaim the World Boxing Organization welterweight title.

Malignaggi reiterated that Pacquiao is all hype, and the hype was just a result of the two or three years that he dominated his opponents, but he has not been impressive after those years as proven by his loss to Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez.

"He just doesn't look as explosive to me anymore," Malignaggi said in the Manny Pacquiao next fight news interview. "The Pacquiao hype train is based really on about two or three years of his career, it's nothing based on before then and there's nothing based on after that because nothing before or after that was very impressive about Pacquiao."

When asked if the long-proposed megabuck fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather will happen, Malignaggi said that it is still possible.

However, if he will have it his way, he wants Mayweather to face either Keith Thurman or Amir Khan because both fighters have better chance of defeating the unbeaten champion than Pacquiao. He added in the Manny Pacquiao next fight news update that Thurman and Khan has the tools to dominate 'Pacman' as well.

"It's possible, who knows. I guess for the sake of the hype that's been around that fight, why not make it?" Malignaggi said. "Personally I think if you really know your boxing, you're not really that excited about that fight, but I think guys like Thurman and Khan in my opinion have a real shot at beating Floyd Mayweather. They would also probably beat Manny Pacquiao as well."
