Looks like the Crush video latest news involves fans not being able to see crush videos ever again.

The producers, a couple who were already in jail since June 2012, have been recently sentenced to life imprisonment, according to a court in the Philippines, where the couple are situated in.

According to anc.yahoo.com,

"In a statement, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) said the San Fernando Regional Trial Court Branch 30 found guilty Dorma Ridon and her husband, Vicente Ridon, of child abuse (Republic Act 7610), animal welfare crimes (RA 8485), human trafficking (RA 9208), and wildlife-protection crimes (RA 9147).

The Ridons were also charged with child abuse because the girls whom they had ordered to kill the animals were minors when the videos were filmed."

Another Crush videos latest news, taken from the same source, stated that:

"'This case is a victory not just for PETA Asia but also for Philippine law enforcement and people around the world who despise cruelty to animals,' said PETA Asia Vice President Jason Baker.

He called it a groundbreaking case.

PETA worked with authorities to track down the couple.

'The Ridons' sentences are a warning to anyone involved in the vile crush video industry: There are grave consequences to harming animals,' Baker said."

Crush videos are videos of animals literally being "crushed" by different objects; the people "crushing" these animals are usually dressed in provocative, and "barely there" outfits, to provide additional entertainment for the viewer. The animals featured would differ, from cats, to rabbits, and dogs. The animals involved will be undergoing the process of being crushed until their internal organs come out of their bodies due to the crushing pressure. These videos are sold internationally to the UK, US, Australia, Korea, and Malaysia. Needless to say, buyers are definitely not limited from where the producers come from, which is the Philippines, and according to reports, the buyers are also at risk with facing charges.

There have numerous protests and movements by animal support groups before the producers were detained officially.
