Wyndham Hotel Group, the world's largest hotel company and the one who manages Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, has recently announced the signing of a franchise agreement with the JMJ Group, for the first Planet Hollywood Beach Resort in India.
Located along Goa's southern coast, the hotel is second to the only existing Planet Hollywood Hotel which is in Las Vegas. The hollywood-themed hotel in India will have 115 rooms and 15 luxury tent resort in Uttorda Beach,South Goa. It will showcase artworks, sculptures and landscapes in true Goan style. It will be a tourist spot in itself, catering to a wide array of travelers, because of the tropical gardens and the coconut orchard that occupies more than 10 acres of the resort.
The Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Goa will also be ideal for weddings and all kinds of parties with its large indoor and outdoor events facilities. It will open a number of restaurants within the sprawling resort to provide locals and tourists with world-class dining options serving international and Indian cuisines.
Just like its sister hotel in Las Vegas, the newly-built property will be decorated with movie memorabilia that includes props from famous films. In an interview of Press Trust of India with Sachin Joshi, Managing Director of the JMJ group, he said that their team is 'truly excited about setting up a world class hotel with a world class partner.' " The country's formidable scale and expertise as a global brand builder will meet our endeavor to further enhance the aesthetic value of Goa. Given its features, we are looking forward to Planet Hollywood being a landmark destination in Goa. The brand's 'Let there be fame' philosophy means guests at the property will be treated like celebrities," he remarked.
The Hollywood-inspired theme hotel is targeted to be operational by December 2014.
