Why Elder Scrolls Online Is Being Pulled Out From Distributors; MMORPG Will Soon Be Free-To-Play?

Following free-to-play rumors late last year and the disappearance of Elder Scrolls Online copies from shelves recently, it seems that rumors are indeed true and fans will hear developers' confirmation, reportedly within a week.

Late last year there have been news buzzing that the MMORPG Elder Scrolls Online will be among the many free-to-play games. Though it subsided for a few weeks, this free-to-play rumors resurfaced following news that numerous stores have pulled out Elder Scrolls Online from their shelves with no apparent explanation.

In a report by Games On Net, allegedly a source confirms the pulled out Elder Scrolls Online copies. It said that "all game cards and copies were pulled out of Harvey Norman, and the only reason that would happen is because it has become a free product."

This led to fans believing that indeed Elder Scrolls Online will be set as a free-to-play game However, according to the same report, their source shared that "if [Elder Scrolls Online] was being brought out in a different format, it'd have a price drop, not a recall".

It was also last year that options for six-month subscriptions on Elder Scrolls Online were removed. This according to reports found online, is among the many signs that Zenimax is ready to make Elder Scrolls Online free-to-play.

Meanwhile, Elder Scrolls Online Update 6 development has also been revealed online, with specific details on Provisioning. The official Elder Scrolls Online site posted: "Provisioners, rejoice! Big changes are coming to your crafting skill in Update 6. We've reorganized recipes to make them easier to find in the UI, reduced the overall number of ingredients (your inventory will thank us), added new recipes, improved the usefulness of drink buffs, and much more".

Elder Scrolls Online Xbox One and PS4 release date has been unconfirmed, however rumors reveal that it may come later this year or early 2016.
