Before Disney decided to twist fairy tales around to make the villain become the main star of live action fairy tales, the film industry gave the public several memorable movie princesses.

One the most memorable princesses perhaps is the girl that almost but never really became one. "The Princess Bride" received acclaim from critics despite the not so eager response in theaters. The film, along with its characters, Princess Buttercup (Robin Wright) and Westley (Cary Elwes), became a must-see as both a romantic and fantastic film.

Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway), on the other hand, became the modern princess that every awkward teenager wanted to be. Mia's journey to become the heir-apparent of Geneva in "The Princess Diaries" has become a classic film for teen flicks.

Amy Adams' bright blue eyes and rich red hair made her a perfect princess in "Enchanted," the Disney's film that utilized both live and cartoon scenes.

Drew Barrymore, on the other hand, put a non-magical yet endearing spin to her portrayal of Cinderella (or Danielle De Barbarac) in "Ever After." Lily James, on the other hand, took on a more traditional version of the classic fairy tale character in the Kenneth Branagh version of "Cinderella."

Which movie princess is the most memorable?
