Finally, the long wait is over! After, much news and speculations, internet and technology giant Google officially announced the release of new Nexus 9 tablet complete with specs and features.

Nexus 9 is said to be the successor of Nexus 7, and one of the first devices to operate with the all new Android 5.0 Lollipop, Google's latest mobile Operating System. The tablet runs with a 2.3GHz nVidia Tegra K1 64 bit quad-core processor, and an added Kepler DX1 graphics card, having a 2GB of RAM. Its LCD display measures at 8.9 inch with 2048×1536 resolution. Screen is made of Gorilla Glass, which means the device is "scratch-and-impact-resistant." It also features an 8MP camera on the rear that comes with an auto-focus and LED flash, while it has a 1.6MP camera on the front.

The new tablet runs on a 6,700 mAh battery which can last up to around nine hours when browsing the web over Wi-Fi. It also contains a micro-USB port, 3.5mm audio, and the high-quality HTC BoomSound, by which the HTC M8 is known for. The Nexus 9 also comes with dual microphones.

An added accessory is also featured in the new Nexus 9, although you have to buy it separately- a keyboard that you can magnetically affix to the device, which converts Nexus 9 into some sort of a laptop. According to Google, this can help users "get stuff done" wherever they are. So if you want more convenience in typing and answering emails, that separate keyboard will be a big help.

Pre-orders of the said device are already being accepted, but you have to wait until November 3 for its release. Nexus 9 will be available on 16GB which is priced at $399, 32GB priced at $479, and a 32GB with LTE at $599.

Google started as a search engine and eventually grew and ventured into smartphones. Google collaborated with tech companies such as HTC, Samsung, LG, Motorola and ASUS providing the Android operating system.

Nexus 9 was first announced in October 15, 2014.
