Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Joe and Anthony Russo must have impressed Marvel Studios when the latest installment of the movie garnered outstanding results from Marvel fans and moviegoers due to its "slick, spy-movie" feel. As a result, they are now in talks to be directing the biggest Marvel movie yet, The Avengers: Infinity War, as Deadline first reported.

To quote Deadline's article: " The Russos are building up their Marvel cred with this all-star outing, and I keep hearing they will step up to the ultimate Marvel all-star team and take the reins of The Avengers franchise from Joss Whedon, possibly with that next film that will shoot back to back."

The Russos are going back behind the camera to film Captain America: Civil War, which is a must-see as it is set to pave the way for all the other Marvel movies to be shown after it. The Civil War story line touches the commencement of the Superhero Registration Act, wherein anyone who has super powers is obliged to reveal his or her identity and shall concede to be part if the U.S. government's police force. Tony Stark, also known as Ironman, with Robert Downey Jr. to reprise his role, will support the program, but Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain America, will oppose it knowing it will be a threat to their civil liberties. This will make the rest of the superheroes choose which side to take.

With The Winter Soldier earning $714 million worldwide, it was not only a blockbuster hit but has also earned critical respect. This could only mean that Joe and Anthony Russo are a well-played choice to kick the Avengers sequel up a notch.
