Huawei Ascend P8 Rumors: A Mid-Ranger Boasting A Powerful Processor; First Android Phone To Sport Gorilla Corning 4

The upcoming Huawei Ascend Mate 8 is said to be launched in Jan. 2015 during the CES event, and Huawei is now on the works on the Ascend P7 successor.

But there  were no confirmations from the Chinese manufacturer yet if the rumors are true. The rumored Huawei Ascend P8 is reportedly to feature a 5.2-inch display with full HD resolution. According to PhoneArena  it will aslo feature a curved glass like on the Apple iPhone 6. It will also be the first smartphone that will fetature Gorilla Corning 4. In comparison to its predecessor, the Huawei Ascend P7,  it sports a 5-inch IPS LCD full HD resolution and 441 ppi.

As per IB Times, 'The Huawei Ascend P8 will be equipped with a metallic body along with a ceramic rear panel and buttons. According to GSMArena , the appeal of the Ascend P8 will be one of its major selling features as the P line of handsets from Huawei always sport an impressive design. Android Authority claims that the handset might also feature a fingerprint scanner or dual LED flash with a revamped camera design.'

In addition, the Huawei Ascend P8 will house a powerful a HiSlicon Kirin 930 chipset from Huawei and a 16 nm FinFET octa-core processor, and its clock speed is still unknown. It'll be powerful than its predecessor that is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 910T Cortex A9 quad- core processor that delivers a clocking speed of 1.8 GHz supported by a Mali -450MP4 graphics and 2 GB RAM..

The other features of Ascend P7 include external storage support of up to 64 GB microSD, 13 MP main camera and 8 MP front-facing camera, Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS and 2500 mAh non- removable battery, noted from IB Times.

PhoneArena also added  the Huawei Ascend P8  might be priced at 2999 yuan($489) that falls in a mid-rage price.
