A few changes have been made to a few of Marvel's annnounced releases namely "Black Panther" and "Thor: Ragnarok" due to the arrival of "Spider Man" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This week, news broke out that Sony, the studio who owns the rights to "Spider Man," came to an agreement with Marvel in letting their friendly neighborhood superhero cross over onto Marvel produced movies.

Marvel, who last year already announced their lineup of releases leading all the way to 2019 had to make changes for the arrival of the webslinger, giving him his own solo film scheduled for Jul. 28, 2017.

Naturally, the previously announced movie's had to be bumped up: "Thor: Ragnarok" which originally held the Jul. 28, 2017 release date is now moved to Nov. 2, 2018 while "Black Panther" is getting a tentative Jul. 6, 2018 release.

For those who aren't familiar with Spider Man's relevance in the Marvel Universe, he played a pivotal role in the comic book "Civil War," which also happens to be the storyline of Captain America's upcoming third film.

The "Civil War" storyline depicts the division of earth's heroes as a law is passed by the government requiring anyone with special abilities to reveal and surrender their powers to the government following a battle that claimed the lives of many civilians.

Tony Stark, who happens to be in favor of the law as he already is known publicly as Iron Man, goes against fellow Avenger Steve Rogers aka Captain America who thinks that the law violates certain liberties.

"Spider Man" played a key role in solving the conflict between the two, also taking off his mask to reveal his true identity as Peter Parker.

The movie "Captain America: Civil War" originally had planned on "Black Panther" to take on the role of the webslinger when he wasn't yet available, though it is uncertain yet due to the amount of time left if "Spider Man" will make it into "Civil War" which is currently in its filming stage.

T'Challa aka "Black Panther" is a king of a fictional land in Africa called Wakanda. What ties him to the "Avengers" is Vibranium, the powerful steel from which Captain America's shield is made of and can only be found in Wakanda.

Playing "Black Panther" is actor Chadwick Boseman. The star proved his Hollywood bankability by taking on the role of "godfather of soul" James Brown in last year's "Get On Up."
