‘Hatoful Boyfriend’ Coming To PS4 And PS Vita; New Bird Romance Blossoms On The Sequel

Good news for bird lovers! The bird-dating game "Hatoful Boyfriend" which had become quite popular in Japan finally coming to PS4 and PS Vita on July 21,2015. (via Techn Times)

Game developer Mediatonic and publisher Devolver Digitial announced that the game will be offered as a Cross-Buy after being a PC game exclusive and has been converted into HD for better game experience.

"Our remake of Hato Mao's incomparable Hatoful Boyfriend will launch on PS4 and PS Vita on July 21st! Bird lovers around the world will be able to enjoy the romance of their avian suitors in luscious HD at home or on the go as Hatoful Boyfriend will be a cross buy title - grab it on PS4 or Vita and you'll own it on both!" Devolver Digital's Nigel Lowrie mentioned in a blog post. (via The Standard Daily)

Aside from the HD experience, the "Hatoful Boyfriend" on PS4 and PS Vita also brings new contents and new story path. These may include"questionable stalkers, bitter rivalries and even doomsday devices in this exclusive new Hatoful Boyfriend content," PS Blog reported.

The game will then evolved on Tohri, an avian character, which will also be a part of the sequel to this game called "Holiday Star" that will be released later this year," Benchmark added.

For new players, here's "Hatoful Boyfriend" game plot.

"Hatoful Boyfriend is set in a future apocalyptic world, in which the whole species of humans died due to a kind of bird flu in 2068. The year is now 2188, where Sagacious pigeons are controlling the world and living, like humans did few centuries ago. Hatoful Boyfriend take place in a bird-only school, St. PigeoNation's Institute, where the only female human student is admitted. The girl has to deal with the funky world of birds and interestingly, has to date with some of the birds - because she is the only human in the world! The game, still, have a dark tone, as there are a lot of weird things happening in the game." (via Standard Daily)
