PS4 system update 3.0 beta version is all set to roll out on September as Sony is now accepting testers.

Posted on Sony's official blog, the company is seeking for a limited number of beta testers who will get an earlier preview of the system update from North America and Europe, PlayStation Lifestyle reported.

"You will need a PS4 system (of course), an Internet connection, and a master account - sub-accounts cannot participate in the program. Make sure you're a member of the PlayStation Forums in advance to get access to our beta forums. Also, beta testers will be able to roll back to the previous PS4 system software update (v2.57) anytime," according to John Koller, VP of Platforms Marketing at PlayStation

"The beta program will start in early September, and we'll have more information on the new features included at that time. We are accepting a limited number of beta testers, so if you're interested, sign up sooner rather than later."

According to Gearnuke, European PlayStation Blog noted that the PS4 System Update 3.0 beta version will be officially released on Sept. 2.

Previously, Sony was rumored to be working on a "major" PS4 update which will bring "Event to the function menu which will let users watch, discover and participate in events related to PlayStation," Ubergizmo wrote.

"Community will reportedly be added to the Friends menu, this feature will let gamers find players that have similar interests and preferences. New communities can be created and existing ones can be joined. Members will then be able to play together, discuss topics and create parties."

In addition, it will also support video broadcasting where players may share a 10-second clip on Twitter or post longer videos through Youtube.

Also included in the said PS4 system update 3.0, a "Most Played" panel will be added, which will allow all gamers to see who's on the party chat, "with users being able to easily start a game from that list."
