[WATCH] Epic ‘The Jungle Book’ Trailer Here! Benedict Cumberbatch Not Voicing Shere Kahn?

Disney's new "The Jungle Book" trailer looks like an epic "Avatar"-like film with CGI animals that look incredibly life-like, an adorable Mowgli and Scarlett Johannson as the sinister Kaa.

The more matured-looking film doesn't look like it will be as much of a musical as the studio's previous animated film.

The video has the only human, Mowgli, interacting with the different animals that fans of the 1967 animated film are already familiar with. However, according to Entertainment Weekly, the new teaser feels "much less Disney, much more James Cameron" with director Jon Favreau using techniques perfected by the "Avatar" director.

"The 'Iron Man' director relied heavily on the motion-capture techniques perfected by Cameron and company when making 'Avatar,'" the article noted. "In fact, the only live-action element of this new version is Mowgli himself, played by newcomer Neel Sethi."

The animals surrounding Mowgli are voiced by Bill Murray, Scarlett Johannson, Idris Elba, Ben Kingsley, Lupita Nyong'o, and Christopher Walken.

Is "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch not part of the film?

According to Cinema Blend, "The Imitation Game" star won't be in this version but will be lending his voice for the Warner Bros.' version, "Jungle Book: Origins."

The Hollywood Reporter previously reported that the WB version, which will be directed by Andy Serkis, already secured Benedict Cumberbatch as Shere Khan. According to International Business Times, Elba will be taking on the villainous tiger for the Disney live-action film.

Meanwhile, Cate Blanchett and Chistian Bale will be joining Cumberbatch in the WB film.

Cinema Blend noted that "Jungle Book: Origins" will be Serkis' first major venture into directing. However, his previous experience is no small feat. He previously worked as Peter Jackson's second unit director on "The Hobbit" trilogy.

Disney's version will reportedly be released in April 2016, while "Jungle Book: Origins" is set to debut a year later.
