Jennifer Lopez Still Believes In Love After Failed Romances; ‘Booty’ Singer Waits For “The Nirvana Man”, Shares Her Kids’ Life

Jennifer Lopez had been in many relationships and failed. She made mistakes. She'd been through ups and downs. She loved and got hurt. But she still believes in love.

"Everybody has seen that I make mistakes," the "Booty" singer said in an interview with the ELLE U.K. magazine, which she graces the October cover issue.

"Each time it goes wrong it's hard. I get really hurt but I have to let myself go: 'What did I do? What can I learn?' And as hard and as hurtful as things get, I want to believe I will be able to go one step higher. I've got to hope that if I keep going I will eventually get it right."

Fondly called J.Lo, the 45-year-old mother of twins, reminisced what she and her kids went through when she broke up with Marc Anthony, her husband of 10 years.

"It's tough because I know they feel the void of that male presence. When Marc and I first broke up, I did think: 'I wish I could have held this together.' But when you realize it's not the right thing for anybody, you think: 'OK, well how do we make this work, how do we make this better, how do we make this great for the children anyway?' "

She also told the magazine how her kids share their time with their extended family. "My kids go and stay in a one-bedroom apartment in the Bronx all the time, or a studio with their aunts, uncles and cousins and their grandmother. They get it."

After her failed marriage with Ojani NoaCris Judd, and Marc Anthony, she was engaged to actor/director Ben Affleck. She also dated rapper Diddy and choreographer Casper Smart. But these failed relationships did not stop J.Lo from believing in love, which she incorporates in her songs.

"Every single album I have ever made is about love. But I am not going to give up. I've got to hope that if I keep going, I will eventually get it right," she told the magazine.

"I still believe in love. The nirvana man, he's out there somewhere. But you just have to work at it. You have to work at everything," said Lopez who will go back to judging in American Idol next year.
