Gwar New Singer "Vulvatron" Leads Band While Wearing Fake Boobs That Spews Blood!

Sep 23, 2014 04:42 PM EDT | By Cindy Wallace

Gwar fans rejoice, as it has been publicized that the Gwar new singer happens to be a she.

The new addition to the band takes form in "Vulvatron", a female character dressed in violet armor, exposing "extremely huge" fake breasts that spews out fake blood whenever she wants to.

"Vulvatron", is in real life, known as Kim Dylla. Kim is an established clothing designer, and also a vocalist of another metal band called Kung Fu Dyke. She first appeared with the band during their gig last Riot Fest held in Chicago.

Dylla gives Gwar a refreshing image since it has been more than a decade since the band had a female member, let alone be assigned in front as a vocalist. This news is very empowering especially for female metal fans, as it gives them inspiration and contradicts the notion that rock metal is only for guys. According to wonderingsound.com: "Vulvatron's costume is skimpy, but so are those of her bandmates; it's not a Gwar show unless everyone's arse is out. She occupies a powerful role. She's nobody's girlfriend, or groupie or background dancer; Vulvatron is in charge. She gets to be a monster instead of a princess, and that is immensely important for younger girls who are just starting to explore heavy metal."

The Gwar new singer officially joined the band after the passing of its late front man, "Oderus Urungus," from an unfortunate overdose on heroine. Otherwise known as Dave Brockie, he was a well-known character in the metal scene. As Vulvatron joins the band, she will be acting as vocalist along with Blöthar.

According to NME, "Gwar released their 13th album in 2013 and mark their 30th anniversary this year. According to Gwar's 'mythology', Oderus Urungus was 43 billion years old, and was assembled on a planet called Scumdogia. He wielded a sword called Unt Lick. The latest chapter of the band's mythology dictates that Vulvatron and Blöthar will lead a quest together for the departed Oderus Urungus."
