"Jersey Shore" cast member Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has been slammed with numerous tax cases, said a report from The Wall Street Journal.

According to the report, "Jersey Shore" cast member Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and his brother Marc Sorrentino were at the federal court in Newark on Wednesday. The two pleaded not guilty to charges claiming that they filed false U.S. tax returns from 2010 to 2012.

A Justice Department news release reported by The Wall Street Journal said "Jersey Shore" cast member Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino received $8.9 worth of income and did not file and pay for the corresponding taxes.

The reality star and his brother are also being questioned for allegedly declaring as business expenses several expensive clothes and cars.

Furthermore, the two are being accused of channelling company money into their personal accounts, said the report from The Wall Street Journal.

An additional count was also given to "Jersey Shore" cast member Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino after he was supposedly unable to file a personal tax return in 2011.

Two companies, namely MPS Entertainment LLC and Situation Nation Inc., are being operated by the Sorrentino brothers. The two organizations were believed to have received the income in question.

Marc Sorrentino also manages the career of the "Jersey Shore" star.

The special agent in charge of the investigation, Jonathan D. Larsen, stated: "Rather than living in reality and reporting their true income, Michael Sorrentino and his brother Marc created the illusion that they earned less income by filing false and fraudulent tax returns."

The arraignment for the Sorrentino brothers will reportedly be on October 6. If found guilty, the two could possibly be imprisoned for three years and fined $250,000 for each count related to the conspiracy and false tax return charges.

The Wall Street Journal also stated that an additional one-year imprisonment and $100,000 fine will be given to "Jersey Shore" cast member Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino for the 2011 tax return offense.
