Oct 03, 2014 06:53 PM EDT | By Adelyn Torralba

The latest "Nexus 6" is coming out to challenge the "iPhone 6." Nexus cellphones are considered the standard for other mobile device manufacturers and software developers for the Android OS.

The latest "Nexus 6" is just like its predecessors, the latest Android features placed in a phone that many consumers could afford. Information about this upcoming Nexus product has been leaked and is currently circulating. While some of the leaked stuff will excite prospective buyers and fans of the Nexus, some of the features are not going to please everyone.

The persistent rumor about the latest "Nexus 6" aka "Shamu" is that, it will come in phablet size. Various leaks have come out but none have suggested that any size smaller than a phablet will be available soon.

Another new development that has come out about the latest "Nexus 6" product is the manufacturer. The Nexus 4 and 5 were produced by Korean manufacturer LG. This time Google has chosen Motorola to manufacture the latest "Nexus 6" smartphone. The change of manufacturer comes out as no surprise since Google is about to acquire Motorola.

The latest "Nexus 6" will come out in the size of 5.9 inch, which is much bigger than the "iPhone 6" or "iPhone 6 plus." This time, the latest "Nexus 6" will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 chipset. Its CPU is a Krait 450 quad core and can support 4 kilobytes of video as well as 4k of simultaneous video playback. The "Nexus 6" has camera quality that can range from 8 to 13 megapixels and just like the previous Nexus models, the sixth incarnation will still have the Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) feature.

The latest "Nexus 6" will have a longer battery life than its predecessors and is powered by a 3200 mAh battery. The Snapdragon 805 chipset is also far more efficient in its energy consumption. The new Android L will also include "Project Volta" which can extend the phone's battery life.
