Apple Covers Up Autocorrect Epic Fail ‘It’s road trip’ Gaffe By Deleting It

Apple scrambled to cover up its cringeworthy autocorrect blunder last Oct. 17 where "Utah road trip" became "It's road trip" because of the iPad's infamous autocorrect function.

Earlier this month on Oct 17, Two French developers, Jeff Boudier and Francois Lagunas, were demonstrating a new video editing app for the iPad named "RePlay" which allows users to automatically sync and edit video to music and set up mood themed video montage of the user's camera through the iPad in a matter of seconds.

However, when Lagunas started typing "Utah road trip," the device went bonkers during the live demonstration and instead, it registered "It's road trip." After Lagunas realized he, or rather, "autocorrect" ironically made a mistake, there was nothing he could do anymore but gaze in horror and, as Cult of Mac describes it, "inwardly kicking himself over screwing up the presentation."

In the video , both Lagunas and Boudier shared the same frazzled look but decided to go on with the show.

Many fans were quite amused by the unfortunate incident and found it as a refreshing moment to an otherwise predictable iPad event.

However, it seemed like Apple did not share the same enthusiasm about the minor glitch, as the Cupertino-based company edited out the portion of the video where "Utah road trip" became "It's road trip."

Apple was caught red-handed going back and changing history by editing out the autocorrect blunder out of the original video.

Though the original video is still existing on the web (and so it will remain), when viewers visit the official Apple web site, or the Apple TV app, the autocorrect fail now reads "Utah road trip" as was intended.

Redditors commented on Apple's move saying it was unnecessary

"Honestly why did they even have to do that? It's a mild Streisand effect waiting to happen. The cat's outta the bad, and it even proves the event was live. Silly Apple," said one user on Reddit.
