Google Android 5.0 Lollipop Update: Expect To Get It 'Soon'

It has been a while since Google announced their latest update of Android 5.0., which is called Lollipop. But it toke a lot of time to be updated to Lollipop for android users. Google announced this week that an official Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Nexus series, which started with "most Nexus devices" expected to get it "soon."

A bug in Lollipop was draining batteries of Nexus 5. The users of this particular model who had updated their phone to Android 5, complained through the Android Developer Preview site that their phone battery would drain much faster than expected when Wi-Fi was enabled, according to Cnet.com.

According to cnet.com the Wi-Fi-related glitch was fixed by early Thursday. Google's senior developer programs engineer for Android Trevor Johns said "This issue has been fixed in the latest builds, and this issue is now considered resolved."

According to phonearena.com firstly Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2012), Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 10 will be updated to Lollipop. Nexus 9 and Nexus 6 already run by Lollipop. Other users might have to wait for some more days to receive the update. But the good news is Lollipop is finally reaching to the consumers.

Phonearena.com reported that other leading manufacturer Motorola claiming that their Android phone Moto G and Moto X is getting Lollipops updates very soon. Sony's Experia Z series phone users might get the latest version of Android before their other phones user. HTC said that they should start receiving Lollipop update in between 90 days on their HTC One and HTC One (M8) handsets.

Google defines Lollipop as their most important and ambitious project. In this update they added new features like new designs, long battery life, developed security system, More than one users profile used by one device etc.
