Marvel Confirms Rush Actor Daniel Bruhl To Join Captain America: Civil War As One Of The Villains

Marvel has recently confirmed that Rush actor Daniel Bruhl will join the cast of Captain America:Civil War and will reportedly play one of the villains in the said movie. In one of the Studio's press release events, producer Kevin Feige let the cat out of the bag saying, "With Daniel's ability to deliver intense, nuanced performances, we knew we had found yet another great actor to share the screen with some of our biggest heroes."

Although it was not revealed who among the villains he is set to take on, Variety has reported that he won't be playing the main one, since that particular role has already been given to Frank Grillo as Crossbones. As a result, there have been a number of speculations as to the character that Bruhl will take on such as Baron Zemo, Red Skull, Baron Mordo and Doctor Faustus. But whatever his role will be, Bruhl's character will definitely play a pivotal role in the story, which could even set up the rest of the Marvel superhero movies to be shown after it.

Meanwhile, Marvel fans definitely know who Crossbones is as portrayed in the original comics, but it was not the case in Captain America:Winter Soldier. Crossbones' character was established in the form of   Brock Rumlow in the 2nd installment of the movie. Rumlow was introduced as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and an ally of Cap and Black Widow, rather than a Neo-Nazi mercenary in the comics version. He is a member of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s S.T.R.I.K.E. unit, but is revealed to actually be a HYDRA operative loyal to Alexander Pierce. In one of Winter Soldier movie's highlights, Rumlow battled the Falcon, and was eventually injured when a downed Helicarrier crashes into the Triskelion. He was last seen burned and nearly unrecognized while being loaded into an ambulance.

Captain America:Civil War is slated to hit the big screen on May 6, 2016.
