Fresh to Order opens on Woodruff Road, under the franchise owner Doug Sheley, the CEO and president of The Real Restaurant Group.

Living in Charlotte, Sheley and his wife Kathy plan to open numerous Fresh To Order (F2O) throughout Raleigh-Durham, Greenville-Spartanburg and the Charlotte area, but opted to focus on opening it in Greenville because of the growth and vibrancy of the city.

Pierre Panos, a stalwart of the Atlanta restaurant scene treats Fresh to Order as his brainchild. He envisioned a casual and fast concept that offered a fine food fast.

Fresh American fusion dishes with a gourmet twist is the focus of the Fresh To Order menu. Small plates, soups, entrees are prepared in a healthier way, while meat is free of hormones and antibiotics, with the restaurant operating in an organic way.

Sheley said the soicety is being educated about food, so clean food is where the society is heading.

There are nine salad variations that Fresh To Order offers from standard to a more specific one. Southwest and Greek-style Meditteranean salad are some being served with an added cost for those add-up some proteins in it. Typical fire-grilled chicken and grilled bourbon salmon to the more unique blackened lime shrimp and crispy calamari are part of the menu. A seared tofu option is offered for vegetarians.

Greenville Fresh to Order have a wide array for meat and non-meat eaters. Non-meat eater can choose a Chicken Caesar panini or a grilled chicken BLT or a grilled bourbon steak.

Vegetarians can enjoy the grilled vegetable panini. Typical entrees for $8 to around $14 can give access to customer to create their own meal with an option to try Chef Small Bite Meal.

Sheley is not new when it comes to the restaurant industry. An Ohio native, he franchised Wendy's during the late seventies and eighties and recently leaped on the bandwagon of Steak n' Shake. He was retired for seven years when he discovered Fresh To Order.

For the next couple of years, Sheley hopes to open more with plans of a 3,800 square foot space that can seat up to 100 people, and an additional 40 or so when the patio opens in the spring.

In January, Fresh To Order will launch their catering program as well as delivery service.
