Six years after the release of "Valkyria Chronicles" for Playstation 3, Sega Games released a PC version for the anime-like role playing video game. The recently released game proved Japanese video games are still a trend as it tops Steam's download chart.

Sega Games Europe arm officer, John Clark thanked the gamers who supported and purchased the new "Valkyria Chronicles" for PC. "We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans for their support in the phenomenal success of this launch," he said.

"We're also delighted at the response from the Steam community which indicates that newcomers to the series are finding it as enchanting and engaging as those who have played it before," Sega Games Senior Vice President of Commercial Publishing also added.

It was 2008 when the well-crafted role playing game was released exclusively for Playstation 3. It took Sega Games six years before a PC version was launched, but according to the reception, "Valkyria Chronicles" is worth the wait.

The newly released role playing game offers "fresh tactical RPG battle system." This includes a turn based elements. Like its first Playstation 3 version, the PC version is equally "beautiful, challenging and original."

"It shares a few similarities with XCOM - turn-based combat, distinct heroes divided into classes, and a base where you can research new equipment and level up troops between missions, to name a few - but it infuses its battles with shooter elements, letting you freely move individual soldiers and aim their shots."

In terms of its visuals, "Valkyria Chronicles" is commended for its exceptional game engine, CANVAS, that made the game look like a watercolor painting. "The pencil-shaded anime visuals that were so striking at 720p look even more beautiful running on higher resolutions at 60 frames per second."

Performance wise, the "Valkyria Chronicles" PC version has ultra-fast loading speed, thus, giving the gamers are more engaging and engrossing playing experience. Because of this, the PC version is expected to exceed the number of players of the first PS3 version.
