After years of anticipation, "Janis Joplin's" biopic is now underway as its main cast and helmers are now being named. With Amy Adams as the main cast, "Dallas Buyer's Club" director Marc-Jean Valle is reportedly signing a deal to direct the upcoming movie. Release date, on the other hand, it still unannounced.

Known for his recent success in "Dallas Buyers Club" film that gave an Oscar trophy to Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto, Vallee will be directing the 40-year old Adams in the upcoming biographical movie titled "Get It While You Can."

Janis Joplin's movie, which will start its filming in the mid 2015, will be Vallee next film after Wild where he helmed Reese Witherspoon and recently done "Demolition" which stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Naomi Watts and Chris Cooper.

Craig Borten and Melisa Wallack, who also penned the "Dallas Buyer's Club," will be completing the creative team of the upcoming "Janis Joplin" life-based flick. The two writers are reportedly reuniting with Vallee as they rewrite script for 'Get It While You Can'.

Adams, an American actress and singer, has since been vocal of her fondness towards Janis Joplin. The 40-year old Hollywood A-lister has plans of singing songs of the 1960's queen of rock and roll singer who died at the age of 27 due to drug overdose.

Production wise, Ron Terry has been planning the biopic movie for the 60's songstress for about 15 years. Being able to know and worked with Joplin, Terry will feature "key moments" of the singer's short life in the upcoming film.

Cameras are expected to roll fall next year, which is 45 years after Janis Jolpin's death. After several tries in making a movie based on the songstress life, Terry said, "This finally feels right." "I'm hoping this is it," he said.

Terry also revealed the film will be talking about the "interplay of being in a band and the tug of wars" around it. Chet Helms, promoter and manager, will also play a key role in the upcoming "Janis Joplin" movie.
