Lindsay Lohan news reported that the actress is eyeing more Broadway projects following her West End debut, "Speed The Plow". According to Lindsay Lohan news from In Touch Weekly, the former "Mean Girls" lead wants to do "Cabaret" next.

A source has revealed that the once troubled actress hopes to be backed up by Oprah Winfrey, who apparently referred her to be part of "Speed The Plow".

The source explained: "Oprah bought the rights to several books that she wants to produce for the stage... (and) Lindsay is begging to be cast in one."

"If that doesn't work out, she's hoping Oprah can get her an audition for something like 'Cabaret,'" the source added.

The insider shared that the former party girl is keen on changing her once troubled ways. "Lindsay needs another helping hand," the insider said.

"(Lindsay) referred to Oprah as her fairy godmother," added the insider.

Lindsay Lohan's desire to do more West End projects dismisses news that she already wants to return to the US. The 28-year-old recently clarified in a report from The Guardian about how she is supposedly feeling so homesick and yearning to return to the US.

She answered: "I won't live in L.A. again, hell no."

The former party girl star explained: "You turn on the news in L.A. and it is all gossip about people," then added: "All the stuff that is going on in the world right now and this gossip is the news?"

According to the report from The Guardian, the controversial movie star compared her life in the US to her current stay in London. "I can go for a run here on my own," she said. "I do every morning, early, and I think how my friends in New York would still be up partying at that time."

The former troubled actress admitted: "I needed to grow up, and London is a better place for me to do that than anywhere else."
