Recent rumors have suggested that the "Grand Theft Auto 6" might only be released for PS4 in 2017.

Master Herald's January 5 report revealed that the latest rumor regarding the much awaited "GTA 6" has leaked and that it points to a 2017 release date.

However, it stressed that the recent leak only applies to PlayStation 4 players as it has not received any information as to when the game will arrive to Xbox One users.

Even Master Herald's Arash Fekri says that the absence of Microsoft's console in the leak is quite unusual.

Although Rockstar has not yet officially confirmed the "GTA 6," many rumors about the game have continuously arisen. There's this rumor that the game will feature a multiplayer. Another says that a female protagonist is likely, a new for the game franchise.

There is no question as far as the 2017 release date is concerned, Master Herald says, as that timeline is quite realistic, considering the pace of how Rockstar develops game series. But it is also somewhat a bit too soon, Arash Fekri says.

If the rumors are true then the new "GTA 6" is really interesting and "has the potential to go down in history as a fantastic installment to an already iconic franchise."

The rumors regarding the "GTA 6" were even more anchored by Rockstar North president Leslie Benzies' earlier statements. He was quoted in an interview that they already have some ideas for the next GTA sequel.

As for the setting for the next GTA game, Venture Capital Post reported that there have been rumors that it will be in Paris, London, Brazil or Las Vegas. While others say that it will be a fictional city inspired by New York or Miami.
