The waiting time is over for Mi fans in India as the world's top 3 smartphone vendor will finally launch the much-awaited and long overdue Mi4 in their country this coming Jan. 28!

Xiaomi set foot in India just last year and launched three of their devices namely Redmi 1S, Redmi Note and the Mi3.

All three products were received very well by the Indian market, which resulted in phenomenal sales and revenue. The numerous flash sales that caused these gadgets to be always out of stock in a matter of seconds contributed highly to Xiaomi tripling its smartphone sales and selling more than 61 million phones in 2014.

"You are invited to a front-row view on Jan. 28, 2015...Mi hits a 4 and a 6," the giant tech company's invite read.

The teaser invite definitely caused Xiaomi fans in India much excitement as they await the release of Mi3's successor.

The Xiaomi Mi4 has a 5-inch IPS display and is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor having a  3GB RAM. It comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, Sony IMX214 BSI sensor, 4K video recording and an HDR video.

It also features an 8MP front camera with 1080p video recording. Moreover, it has an active noise cancellation with a dedicated microphone and is powered by a 3,080mAh battery. In addition, it comes with 16GB and 64GB built-in memory options. The Mi4 smartphone runs with Android KitKat operating system with a layer of the MIUI OS skin.

Meanwhile, the company has just revealed its latest flagship smartphone in its home country, the new Mi Note. The gadget aims to target the high-end smartphone users, which is the missing link in Xiaomi's portfolio as it has always been known to penetrate users who opt for budget-friendly but premium quality smartphones.
