Last Jan. 26, India celebrated its 66th Republic Day, and as expected, the Chinese top smartphone maker Xiaomi would not let it pass without offering their Indian market something to look forward to.

It normally holds its flash sales on a Tuesday but this time around, Xiaomi opted to have it on a Monday in line with India's Republic Day Celebration.

Also, the world's top three smartphone vendor brought back the already phased out Mi3, only for this particular flash sale, priced at Rs 13,999.

Xiaomi said this is India fans' last chance to get a hold of the Mi3 as its latest flagship, the Mi4, will be launched on Wednesday, January 28.

The last time Xiaomi held a flash sale for Mi3 was in Oct. 2014, having sold a total of 25,000 units, which were intended for those who registered for at least five out of the six Mi3 flash sales but were not able to purchase the said gadget.

Xiaomi Mi3 runs an updated version version of Android 4.4 KitKat, with the company's MIUI 5 skin on top.

It features a 5-inch full-HD LCD display (1080x1920 pixels) offering a pixel density of 441ppi.

The gadget is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8274AB) processor, having a 2GB of RAM; Adreno 330 GPU; 16GB of inbuilt storage; a 13-megapixel rear camera with a dual-LED flash and a 1080p video capture, while it features a 2-megapixel front camera with BSI censor, wide-angle f/2.0 lens, HDR and a 1080p video recording.

In addition, it showcases an active noise cancellation with a dedicated microphone. Lastly, it is powered by a 3050mAh battery.

The flash sale was based on a first-come-first serve policy and remained open until supplies lasted, via Xiaomi's official e-distributer Flipkart.
