'Gotham' TV Series Spoiler: Morena Baccarin On Leslie Thompkins' New Job At GCPD And Possibility Of Getting Own Episode

"Welcome Back, Jim Gordon," "Gotham's" last episode saw the noble newbie police in the dangerous city back in the kind of environment he is more used to, field assignments.

After spending some time in Arkham Asylum, Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) is back at his best in bringing down crooks in the city. ("Gotham" TV series spoiler ahead) One of which is his colleague and narcotics detective Arnold Flass who turned out to be the man behind murders.

There are also some interesting subplots like Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) learning Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) is lying about what she knows about the murder of his parents.

In addition, Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) and Oswald "The Penguin" Cobblepot are going at it again, and Edward "The Riddler" Nygma (Cory Michael Smith), pursuing his romantic feelings for a colleague.

While, all these storylines are interesting in their own ways, the episode could have used more of Morena Baccarin whose character Leslie Thompkins was noticeably missing in the episode.

Before the "Welcome Back, Jim Gordon" night, Thompkins shared a kiss with Jim before getting interrupted by Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue). Fans of the "Firefly" and "Homeland" star are definitely upset with her not being on the episode. Well, don't fret Morena Baccarin fans because you might see here more this second half of the season.

In an interview with Nerdist, Baccarin shared some major "Gotham" TV series spoiler, mostly about her character and her relationship with Jim.

With Arkham Asylum breaking down and prisoners having escaped, expect to see more of Dr. Leslie Thompkins in the GCPD as she will be one of the regular workers there.

"Yes, I start working at the GCPD very quickly. So I'll be around," Baccarin said when asked when will her character start working with the police force. She added that her position will be as medical examiner.

In previous "Gotham" TV series spoilers, it is even revealed that Thompkins will learn new skills as she try to cope in the new environment that she's in. As to whether Thompkins will get a back story, Baccarin said she's not sure yet.

"To be honest, I'm not quite sure. I think eventually. They do such a great job of making everybody a well-rounded character that you can kind of spin off on any character. So hopefully they'll give her a little more back story. Right now we're just going day by day."
