A comic book fan named Henry Damon from Caracas, Venezuela was reported to have undergone an extreme body modification to look like Captain America's villain Red Skull.

The 37-year-old Venezuelan had subdermal implants on his forehead "before having part of his nose removed." His eyeballs are tattooed black and implants are also inserted into his face, Daily Mail reports.

"He has loved comic books since he was a kid and always dreamed of being Red Skull, but never got round to doing it," Damon's friend, Pablo Hernandez said. "Then he met up with a brilliant surgeon who specialises in extreme body modifications and just knew that this was his opportunity."

The surgery was done by Emilio Gonzalez, a med school dropped out who devotes himself on extreme tattooing and body modification surgery.

Gonzalez further explained that Damon underwent several physical and psychological tests, and said that the 37-year-old Red Skull fan is 100% healthy. He also claims that Damon is not mental ill.

"Henry aka Red Skull is a physically and intellectually healthy person," Mr Gonzalez said.

He the continued that Damon is "an excellent son, husband and father, who has an extreme taste for body modification."

"Most of my customers know that body modification is the last step of body art, everyone knows very well what they want and as well as Henry, many of them are waiting for me for many years to make their dreams a reality," Gonzales later added.

According to Gonzales, Damon's transformation is not yet done as silicone implants on the cheekbones, chin and cheeks will be carried out too.

"Then we will tattoo his entire face red and then he will be Red Skull," Gonzales explained.

Meanwhile, 9news describes Red Skull as "one of Captain America's earliest villains, appearing in the late 1940s."

"A Nazi agent, he was a top scientist who developed many futuristic weapons. Originally, his gruesome visage was a mask, but in the film version his appearance was caused by experiments that also enhanced his strength."
