Costco employees are rumored to enjoy special pizzas that are not listed on the food court menu.

Members can also get these unique pizzas but must follow a process different from the employees.

Costco Food Court's Hidden Pizza Deals

Costco is well-known for its budget-friendly food court offerings, including massive pizza slices for just $1.99 and whole 18-inch pizzas for $9.95.

A curious Costco shopper took to Reddit after hearing a conversation about a secret menu. "Secret pizza orders?? Employees, what do you know," the shopper posted, recalling a discussion about a Hawaiian-style pizza made with off-the-shelf ingredients.

"That seems way off-menu," the shopper added, expressing their skepticism.

Numerous Costco employees jumped into the discussion to explain that these special pizzas were generally just for staff. "Sometimes, as a thank you, our managers will buy ingredients off the floor and have the food court make us specialty pizzas for the break room," one employee shared.

However, they made it clear these were not available to members. "If you want a special pizza, buy a regular one and add your own toppings at home," they suggested.

Another employee mentioned that custom pizzas are a treat for workers, especially after passing corporate inspections. While each Costco's policy might vary, some managers permit ordering Hawaiian pizza directly from the food court.

A food court worker confirmed that bespoke pizzas are occasionally made for staff but urged customers not to request these special orders. "Please do not bother your local food court with special pizza requests," they requested kindly.

Costco Combo Pizza's Rumored Comeback

Last month, a Reddit thread sparked rumors that Costco's beloved combo pizza might be making a comeback soon, according to a claim by someone who said they work at Costco.

However, the new version of the combo pizza might not be what longtime fans expect. The post explained that the combo pizza will now be sold as a take-and-bake item in the deli section instead of being ready to eat at the food court.

Several people shared their thoughts about the possible return of the combo pizza. One person commented, "Excited to see this. I hope this is as good as their old combo pizza." Another added, "I can't wait. I miss the combo pizza."

While some expressed excitement, others were disappointed by the switch from the food court to the deli. One commenter pleaded, "Please bring it back to the food court," while another asked, "Can I buy it, have the food court bake it, and pick it up on my way out?"

New Membership Checks at Costco Food Courts

Costco has introduced a new policy at its food courts that is upsetting some fans: customers must now show a membership card to buy food. This rule has been implemented in Orlando, Florida, and New Orleans, Louisiana, where signs inform shoppers of the change, which is effective April 8, 2024.

Despite stricter food court access, Costco maintains a lenient return policy. Examples include a $400 refund on a nearly expired gym membership and a full refund for a customer's spoiled box of frozen food. These policies continue to puzzle and impress Costco members alike.
