Mark Your Calendars! 'Hannibal' Season 3 Premiere Revealed: Fannibals Make Sure You're Tuned On June 4 At 10PM

“Hannibal” season 3 premiere episode will air on June 4.

On Mar. 6, the NBC revealed the release date of the horror drama's third season.

"Hannibal" official Facebook also announced the release date of its third season by posting a picture featuring lead character Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) wearing an all-black attire while riding a motorcycle. So Fannibals, make sure you're tuned in on your TV on fourth day of June.

According to earlier reports, “Hannibal” season 3 premiere episode will pick up few months from where it left off during the second season finale.

However, the setting is now in Italy where Lecter and finale's biggest revelation Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (Gilian Anderson) are posing as couple while the cannibalistic doctor is hunting his new victim. This means he is nowhere near nemesis, Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) in the early going. While this doesn't sound fun for fans, it will turn out exactly the opposite according to writer and executive producer Steve Lightfoot.

"It's always going to be Hannibal - it's going to be intense," said Lightfoot in an interview August last year. "But I feel there's more opportunity for fun, for sure. The roof had come in so low and so intense at the end of season two, with all those people under it, and we've kind of broken that up."

Adding, "People are separated and I feel like there's room to bring more fun to it. We can't bring everyone back and have them be even more intense than before, so we've got to mix up the attitudes and that's really exciting in the writers' room."

Aside from Dr. Lecter's new hunting target in the “Hannibal” season 3 premiere, the new season will also be divided into two parts as it explores the novels where its characters were based from.

The first part will be about Will's pursuit of Hannibal overseas, while the second one will touch the “Red Dragon” territory.

This means Hannibal will be captured and the gifted FBI profiler will find peace, get married and have a son. However, he will be called back in the headquarters as another serial killer is starting to wreak havoc. He is Francis Dolarhyde to be played by Richard Armitage.

“Hannibal” season 3 premiere should come fast with all these offerings, right?
