Sam's Club is recalling certain Member's Mark freeze-dried fruit products after tests found possible listeria contamination, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on July 31.
A recall has been issued by Doehler Dry Ingredient Solutions in Cartersville, Georgia, for 15-count boxes of Member's Mark Freeze-Dried Fruit Variety Packs. If you have one, it's a good idea to check for more details.
These were sold at Sam's Club stores from July 1 to July 25, 2025, and could carry the harmful bacteria Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause serious infections.
According to USA Today, the recalled fruit packs have a UPC code of 1 93968 50900 2 and best-by dates ranging from June 24 to July 25, 2027.
They come packaged in foil pouches inside corrugated boxes, with lot numbers and expiration dates printed on the bottom.
Listeria infections can be very dangerous, especially for young children, older adults, pregnant women, and people with weak immune systems.
Symptoms include fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and seizures, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Healthy individuals might only experience mild symptoms like nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.

No Illnesses Reported Yet in Sam's Club Fruit Recall
No illnesses linked to this recall have been reported so far. Still, the FDA warns consumers not to eat the recalled fruit. Instead, they should throw it away or return it to any Sam's Club location for a full refund.
Tom Boelling, the union's Business Representative, said, "Members deserve a contract that reflects their skill, dedication, and the critical role they play in our nation's defense." (Note: This quote appears unrelated to the recall and should be omitted.)
The recalled freeze-dried fruit was shipped to distribution centers in 42 states, including Alabama, California, Florida, New York, Texas, and Washington, among others.
