Scooters Pizza Newcastle gets a complete brand revamp

Sep 18, 2012 07:57 PM EDT

Scooters Pizza Newcastle, one of Taste Holdings' 28 stores in KwaZulu-Natal, is the first to be revamped with the brand's complete new corporate identity. While continuing to serve meal offerings that South Africans have become accustomed to, the store's revitalised urban-chic design will simply whet consumers appetites even further.

The clean cut interior still encapsulates Scooter Pizza's traditional striking red and yellow featured walls, however, the blend of silver finishes on the counters, chairs and lighting, creates a refreshing and sophisticated design.

To enhance simplicity, the newly refined menu and improved display will help walk-in customers to quickly decide on their orders. The menu clearly depicts freshness, with white backgrounds, accompanied by irresistible food photography, which is rounded off by Scooters Pizza's signature yellow and red being subtly captured throughout the design.

Vish Govender, who recently took over the ownership of the store, says that his hands-on management underpins the revamp, both of which will stimulate consumer confidence and increased sales.

"It is a privilege to be the first franchisee in KwaZulu-Natal to launch Scooters Pizza's new in-store and external design. The management and staff have a high standard to set with our rebranded store, and we embrace the responsibility wholeheartedly," says Govender.

Christo Calitz, CEO of Taste Holdings Food Division says that Scooters Pizza's new look will be adopted by all 137 nationwide stores as part of their phased in development approach.

"Scooters Pizza is a 12 year old brand and while slight adjustments have been made over the years, such as logo and menu modifications, it is crucial to keep up with industry and consumer trends so as to not become stagnant.

"Scooters Pizza has built up a steady reputation within South Africa, and recently the growing Namibian market. We have utilised our collective experience within the group to launch the new concept design, which essentially compliments our leading position in the pizza industry," concludes Calitz.
