The first set photos of "Point Break" remake featured its lead stars Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramirez. The 26-year-old Aussie actor stars as Johnny Utah, a character that made Keanu Reeves a household name.

The 38-year-old Venezuelan actor, on the other hand, takes over the late Patrick Swayze's role Bodhi. Check out the photos shared by Den of Geek.

Taking over such iconic roles must have been very difficult for Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramirez, but both actors are confident of their work. "It would be disrespectful for me to mimic Keanu," Bracey told The Telegraph. "This is a new and updated version of Johnny Utah."

"The November Man" star also revealed that the remake will reach a global scale unlike the original film. "It's got transnational corporations and features environmental terrorism, there's surfing, snowboarding, wingsuiting and rock-climbing," Luke said. "It's bigger, better and more bad-ass really."

Edgar Ramirez admitted that there will some similarities between Patrick Swayze's Bodhi and the one he is portraying in "Point Break" remake. "The only similarity that I can tell you so far is it's that subversive spirit, that rebellious spirit, that anti-system spirit that is what really the whole story is about," he said as reported by We Got This Covered. "The structure is similar but the story is different. But we want to keep the spirit from the first one."

To help the audience know more about "Point Break" remake, Den of Geek shared its official synopsis: "A young FBI agent, Johnny Utah, infiltrates a cunning team of thrill seeking elite athletes, led by the charismatic Bodhi.

The athletes are suspected of carrying out a string of staggering crimes that kill innocent people and send the world's economy into a tailspin. Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the callous architects of these inconceivable crimes."

According to the website, the reboot will also feature the most daring athleticism ever seen in a motion picture performed by extreme athletes representing the world's best in class in big-wave surfing, wingsuit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling.

Catch Luke Bracey, Edgar Ramirez, and the rest of the "Point Break" remake cast on December 25, 2015.
