Uniform Of ‘Ghostbusters 3’ Cast Revealed! Paul Feig Brings Back The Proton Pack! ‘We're Not Recreating The Old Movie But We Want To Do Just Enough Fun Nods’

The first set photos of "Ghostbusters 3" were revealed over a week ago and now the uniform of the female ghost hunters were shared by director Paul Feig.

The 52-year-old director shared the classic jumper on Twitter and wrote, "#whatyougonnawear." It looked like the uniform that was worn by Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and the late Harold Ramis back in 1984.

The outfits already have a name tag on it which confirms that Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon are the new ghostbusters. According to Mirror, if you look closely you will see there are some lovely new orange lines on the 2016 outfits.

Apart from the uniform that the "Ghostbusters 3" all-female cast will be wearing, Paul Feig also shared a photo of a gadget that appeared to be a proton pack on Twitter and used the hashtag "#whatyougonnashoot." Fans had different reactions regarding the new uniform and proton pack - some were delighted to see it while others were disappointed.

"There are only four Ghostbusters: Murray, Aykroyd, Hudson and Ramis, those are impostors!" Eber Nunez replied on the Twitter post. "Praying that it'll do the original justice. Knowing in my heart that it won't," Joseph MacKie wrote on Twitter.

There were also some fans, who were not that thrilled to see the proton pack.

"I thought it looked more rough, hand-made which I think works for a start-up business," Mo Fei Chen replied on Feig's post on Twitter.

The Film Show agreed with her and wrote, "Good call. Maybe these gals don't have the financial resources the boys had with Ray Stantz mortgaging the family home."

Based on the uniform and the proton pack, it looks like Paul Feig would be doing a reboot instead of a remake because of the similarities from the first movie to the female version. During an interview with Empire, the director explained that he won't be doing a total rehash of the first film.

"We're not recreating the old movie but we want to do just enough fun nods that the fans will go, 'Oh, okay, they're acknowledging that the other movie existed,'" he said.

Find out what aspects from the old film would be featured in "Ghostbusters 3" on July 22, 2016.
