Jul 04, 2015 11:41 AM EDT | By Jon Lindley Agustin

For every steak he serves in his restaurant in Las Vegas, Gordon Ramsay makes money, giving him a high spot in the most recent Forbes' highest-paid celebrities. For every curse he says on television, fans like it so he makes money from these words too.

Gordon Ramsay, a top chef whose meals have made him a widely followed celebrity cook, is ranked 21st on the current Forbes list called Celebrity 100 -- richer than Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Kim Kardashian in terms of earnings.

Gordon Ramsay's current ranking on Forbes Celebrity 100 is side by side with reported earnings of $60 million according to the business publication. He is sharing the spot with musician Sean Combs and host Ryan Seacrest.

On the top three spots are boxers Floyd Mayweather Jr, Manny Pacquiao and pop superstar Katy Perry whose combined earnings as indicated on the Forbes list amount to almost $600 million.

So how did Gordon Ramsay make it into Forbes Celebrity 100?

His frequent appearance in cooking reality shows on TV as well as in his cooking shows has contributed so much with his current position as a world-renowned chef - more than his usual demeanor on screen.

According to another report by Forbes, this celebrity chef debuted the British version of Hell's Kitchen with "a deal that gave him a cut of the show's distribution sales.  Before Gordon Ramsay was seen on the shows, the report said these cooking programs settled at 3.1 ratings, way lower than the high rating of eight.

Gordon Ramsay reportedly makes more than $400,000 an episode for being the shows' host and producer as the same time, Forbes said.

Aside from his shows, his restaurants are also playing a huge part. He reportedly owns and operates around 20 restaurants around the world, and many of these have earned Michelin stars, the pride of every restaurateur.

"Those restaurants generate $150 million in revenue, a 270 percent increase from five years earlier, including new outposts in Asia, the Middle East and Atlantic City," Gordon Ramsay's feature by Forbes said.

Gordon Ramsay now enjoys his spot on the Forbes list as the world's richest celebrity chef -- unless Ellen DeGeneres on the 12th spot will consider herself as a celebrity chef.
