"Supergirl" TV series cast is expanding. Fresh from their appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con this week, the upcoming superhero show from CBS announced Melissa Benoist's Supergirl will be tormented by not just one, but two villains - Livewire and Reactron.

In the comics, Reactron first met Supergirl on "The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl #8" published in 1983 and then in the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" where his original story was changed. "Supergirl" TV series will also be the first time he will appear in a TV project or movie.

Reactron's alter ego is Ben Krullen, a US Army sergeant during the Vietnam War, alongside future Doom Patrol member Joshua Clay (Tempest). His ability is to generate lethal radiation.

Meanwhile, Livewire has appeared in WB superhero series "Smallville" before wherein she was portrayed by Anna Mae Routledge. However, her appearance there is quite short as she was killed by an explosive device put inside her head. In the comics, Livewire first appeared in the "Superman Adventures Vol 1 #5" published in 1997.

Her alter ego is Leslie Willis, a shock jock whose shows is dedicated to bashing upon Superman. Her abilities are electricity and magnetism powers.

"Supergirl" TV series cast staff are yet to find an actress for these roles.

Before the announcement of Reactron and Liverwire, "Supergirl" TV cast just got bigger with the addition of Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, a powerful businessman who played a big role in the formation and occasional fall of Justice League.

Main "Supergirl" TV series cast is composed of Melissa Benoist on the title role, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, and Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers.

"Supergirl" TV series synopsis reads below:

"Twenty-four-year-old Kara Zor-El, who was taken in by the Danvers family when she was 13 after being sent away from Krypton, must learn to embrace her powers after previously hiding them.[1] The Danvers teach her to be careful with her powers, until she has to reveal them during an unexpected disaster, setting her on her journey of heroism."
