Shake Shack, the popular New York-based burger and  hot dog chain, is being sued for $2 million by a woman who claims that she was knocked over by a dog at the Upper East Side location, according to reports.

Cindy Cirlin filed a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit last week after being allegedly attacked by a dog that was chained to one of the Upper East Side outposts' chairs, according to the New York Post.

According to court papers, Shake Shack "was negligent in its failure to protect [Cirlin] from the anticipated dangers of allowing dogs to be attached by leashes to its flimsy and unanchored chairs."

Shake Shack is known for being dog-friendly (they even offer dog biscuits at all their locations), but after this they might need to make some changes to their policy.

Currently, the restaurant has total 17 locations, seven of them are in New York City, and the first one was opened in Madison Square Park in 2004.
