Austin Mahone and ex-girlfriend are rumored to be rekindling their short-lived romance once again after the pair flaunted their flirting on Twitter a couple of months after officially breaking up.
If he did get back together with Becky G, did he leave Brie Angellina with a broken heart isntead?
The up-and-coming singer stirred up some rumors when the "Dirty Work" singer responded to her Instagram video where she sang Frank Ocean's "Thinkin' About You" with clip of himself singing the same song.
Some weeks later, Austin Mahone got right back to tweeting support to his ex-girlfriend Becky G's new song, "Put It On Me." She promptly replied, "thanks cutie."
They were also spotted together again in an Instagram post from Mahone's friend. In the said photo, he clearly stood in the middle with Becky G leaning on what appears to be a table beside the pop star.
If they had indeed gotten back together, did Mahone leave Brie Angellina hanging?
According to the singer and model, she was just friends with the teen sensation. She did admit that she admired the 19-year-old for his talent and wanted to collaborate with him in the future
"It was simply, he liked the song too and he covered it too. It was just that. We're friends," she reportedly told J-14 in a previous interview. "We actually met years ago, and then after I met him, that's when I was cast in his 'Say Somethin' music video as one of the cheerleaders. We've been friends ever since. No, we're not dating. We're just friends."
Nevertheless, her stark resemblance to Mahone's former flame made some fans suspicious. Not only did she reportedly look like Becky G, she also has a resemblance with another one of Austin Mahone's ex-girlfriends - Camila Cabello from Fifth Harmony.
