Wal-Mart Black Friday Shopping: Police Officer Transported to Hospital After Controlling Fight (VIDEO)

An officer was hurt after trying to dissipate a fight between two shoppers at a Rialto, Calif. Wal-Mart The San Bernardino County Sun reported Thursday.

"The fight at the Rialto store was an unfortunate and isolated incident to an otherwise very safe event," corporate spokeswoman Betsy Harden said corporate spokeswoman at Wal-Mart told The Sun. "Providing our customers with the best and safest shopping experience is always our top priority."

The officer was transported to St. Bernardine Medical Center with a fractured wrist according to police. The Sun reported.

The incident was one of three fights at the 1610 S. Riverside Ave. store. Two more happened in the store involving merchandise.

The Colton Police Department, and San Bernardino County Sheriff's helicopter aided the Rialto Police Department.

Police arrested one of the men who fought outside the retailer with suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after he reportedly struck the other person in the head with his foot while on the ground according to The Sun.

The Wal-Mart was originally scheduled to open at 8 p.m. Thursday night, but due to the 3,000 people waiting outside, store employees chose to open after 7 p.m. igniting the brawl.

Wal-Mart's Black Friday Deals included a JVC 42-inch LED television for $299; a 36 percent discount. Customers who were in a Wal-Mart store anywhere from 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., or 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. depending on when the store opened, Thursday could buy various items at prices the company sets during the designated hour. The company ensured customers would be able to obtain the item Thursday night or prior to Christmas.

Other would be made available at 8 a.m. Friday morning. These include: the Apple iPhone 5C for $45, and 5S for $189 with a $75 Wal-Mart gift card and a two-year agreement from AT&T or Verizon, the keurig K70 platinum brewing system for $169 with a $20 Wal-Mart Gift Card, a $79 sodastream mega bonus kit for $79 with a $10 gift card, a bostich 18-volt drill for $99, and an 80-pack shatterproof ornament for $30. The company is also offering a maximum of $127 a tire with their weekend tire-in-stock gurantee.
