Jack The Ripper Identity A Poet Or A Polish Immigrant? Forensic Expert Maintains Claim

Nov 12, 2015 07:30 PM EST | By Pam Amantiad

A British English teacher recently claimed that he had identified Jack The Ripper's identity.

However, a forensic expert, who came out with his findings last year reiterated his own claim that the infamous serial killer was another person entirely.

According to New South Wales educator Richard Patterson, the Whitechapel murderer was a famed poet who took out his anger for an ex-lover to the prostitutes he met in the area.

He accused "The Hound Of Heaven" poet Francis Thompson as the killer based on his research of 20 years.

"Thompson kept a dissecting knife under his coat, and he was taught a rare surgical procedure that was found in the mutilations of more than one of the Ripper victims," he said, adding that the said literary figure started cutting up women who worked the streets after his lover, who also worked the streets, ended things with him.

"The moment he told her he was finally published, she said she was leaving him because the public would not understand their relationship," Patterson continued. "Soon before and soon after the murders, he wrote about killing female prostitutes with knives."

However, Dr. Jari Louhelainen, a scientist hired by British businessman Russell Edwards to determine Jack the Ripper's real identity, doesn't believe in Patterson's claims.

According to Techly, the doctor is still maintaining his claim that the murderer was actually a Polish Jewish immigrant named Aaron Kosminski.

In 2014, Dr. Louhelainen announced that he achieved "a perfect 100 per cent match" when he matched the DNA found in a cloth left behind beside one of Jack's victims to descendant of Kosminski.

He is still sticking to his conclusions, pointing out that "the results of our Jack The Ripper project have already been presented to [a] scientific conference to top forensic specialist in the field."

His work is reportedly already booked for a peer-review by forensic professionals.

Nevertheless, Jack the Ripper's identity is still one of the biggest crime mystery in history. No theories or suspects have been considered as the absolute truth as of press time.
