Following the recently concluded American Music Awards where Nicki Minaj won the Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist, Safaree Samuels took to Twitter his frustration because he felt he also deserves the recognition.

Upon receiving the award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist, Nicki Minaj thanked her fans first, saying, "I know this award is about fans voting and I personally feel like I have the best fans on this planet. You guys, I know you're out there on the internet somewhere so I just want to say I love you."

The "Anaconda" rapper went on to say that "The Pinkprint" was the hardest album she ever had done, written and performed onstage every night. Minaj bested Drake and Fetty Wap in the Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist category.

"I wanna just thank you the fans for allowing me to change and have a different voice every time I come back out. Please find your voice and find your purpose before it's too late. Love you," Nicki Minaj added in her acceptance speech.

Nicki Minaj, in her speech, also thanked Drake, which did not delighted her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels, who then posted on Twitter dissing on Nicki Minaj. He wrote: "Heard I won an award. The pen is always mightier than the sword. Dec 1st It is what it is vol. 2 #stuntgang"

Safaree Samuels' Twitter message comes with him feeling that Minaj should have thanked him too, relating to his claims that he had contributed largely to Minaj's successful hits and albums.

As published in a previous report, Samuels is asking credit and compensation for his contribution in "The Pinkprint," "Pink Friday," and "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded." His ghostwriting claims extends to Minaj's hits including "Only" featuring Chris Brown, Drake and Lil Wayne, "Flawless (Remix)" with Beyonce and "Feeling Myself" still with Beyonce.

Samuels also included his ghostwriting claims in a diss track with lyrics that read: "My bars on 'The Pinkprint,' no one'll ever match."
