George Clooney Hunting For Another Diamond Ring? Wife Amal Amaluddin Doesn’t Want Hers Anymore?

George Clooney and his wife Amal Amaluddin has been under scrutiny ever since their wedding, even her choice to not wear her seven-carat diamond engagement ring became an issue recently.

According to Closer Weekly, the human rights lawyer has decided not to wear the $680,000 ring that her husband bought her because it was "too flashy" for work.

"Amal has told friends she wants a more understated engagement ring specifically for when she's working on serious cases," an insider reportedly told the site.

Closer further reported that she's getting tired of constantly being stopped by people who wanted to admire the huge rock on her finger.

"People constantly stop [her] and admire it for a closer look," a source added.

Furthermore, UK's Mirror reported that her doting husband is supportive of her decision to not let the ring get in the way of her work.

"She's been to visit Cartier and has requested a platinum band," another insider told the publication. "George understands and is completely supportive."

Choosing not to wear it didn't mean that George Clooney's wife didn't want it anymore.

"It is a massive rock and there is no hiding it," the source revealed. "She absolutely loves the ring and won't be getting rid of it but she just wants something simpler for her big cases."

The international lawyer had been wearing the rock for over a year now, since they married last September 2014.

According to Yahoo, she's not the only woman who opted to ditch their engagement ring after marriage. Several women have chosen to keep their simple wedding bands instead.

Some reasoned that they were scared to damage it while another revealed that it sometimes didn't suite her style.

George Clooney's wife, on the other hand, isn't ditching the ring all together. She's reportedly just opting for something simple to wear while working on her cases.
