Oscar Mayer Adult Lunchables: Portable Protein Pack Satisfies Needs On-The-Go

Oscar Mayers new adult lunchables help consumers who are always on the go, and could use food to re-energize themselves throughout the day The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.

"Consumers snack three times a day on average, and 75 percent of adults are looking to add more protein to their diets," Joe Fragnito, vice president of marketing at Oscar Meyer said in a statement in a press release. "The protein snacking category has a 7 percent growth rate, but meat is too often an afterthought with all the yogurt, smoothies, bars and powders on the market. P3 Portable Protein Pack is the ideal product to address this gap in the marketplace," Fragnito said in the statement.

The new product dubbed the P3 Portable Pack, which are part of Oscar Mayer's Select Meats brand, Kraft Natural Cheeses, and Planters Nuts has Applewood Smoked Turkey, Marbled Colby and Monterey Jack Cheese, Dry Roasted Almonds

Another kind has applewood smoked ham, reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese, dry roasted almonds the press release reported.

Another pack has rotisserie seasoned chicken, reduced fat cheddar cheese, and dry roasted peanuts.

There is also a kind with slow roasted turkey breast, reduced fat cheddar cheese, dry roasted peanuts.

The one ounce container costs $1.79, with three in a pack goes for $4.99 the press release reported.

The products have 13 grams of protein, and barely any sugar The Times reported.

Adults can find the packs in the cold sections of grocery stores.

Oscar Mayer's kid's lunchables include Lunchables Uploaded, Lunchables with a smoothie beverage, Lunchables with fruit, Lunchables with juice, and products without a beverage according to information on the company's website.

The lunchables with juice include the BBQ chicken shake-up, light bologna with American cracker stackers, chicken dunks, and extra cheesy pizza.
